Adding A Wireless Charger To Your Furniture
What to check before adding wireless charging to a recliner, sofa or home theater seat.
A built-in wireless charger keeps your phone topped up without a cable. Here is what to think about first.
Check your phone
Your phone must support wireless charging. A thick case can also get in the way, so test with it on and off.
Check the location
Choose a flat spot that is easy to reach, usually an arm or console. Check what sits beneath the surface, so nothing interferes with the mechanism when the chair moves.
Check the power
Read the product details to see how the charger gets its power, and whether it suits your furniture's existing connections. Unplug the furniture before you do any fitting work.
Before you cut anything
If fitting needs a cutout, measure twice. Upholstery and frames cannot be undone easily, so ask a furniture technician if you are unsure.
Compare our wireless chargers, or look at power outlets and USB options if you prefer a wired connection.
