Why the brand on the part matters more than the brand on the chair.

Your chair may carry one brand name, while the parts inside are made by a different company. That is why looking up parts by your furniture brand does not always work.

Check the part, not the chair

Look at the label on the motor, hand control or power supply. It may show a parts maker's name along with a model number.

Same brand, different part

A brand can make many different parts with different plugs and ratings, so the brand alone is not enough. Always match the full model number.
